Dementia and living a meaningful life
What gives our lives meaning is different for every one of us. DTA Executive Director Professor Richard Fleming writes for HelloCare.
The Consumer Companion Guide was developed by people living with dementia, carers, researchers and clinicians from the National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) Cognitive Decline Partnership Centre.
The consumer guide is designed for members of the public and uses accessible language to provide practical guidance about important aspects of the clinical practice guidelines.
It sets out the level of care that people with dementia and their carers and families should expect, what to do if this level of care is not met, questions to ask health care professionals, accessing services, and advanced care planning.
Both guides are freely available at: sydney.edu.au
