Understanding the situation
- Introduces the assessment process, determining immediate or potential risk, and understanding an individual’s history and the care environment.

The assessment process
- The 5 key elements of the assessment process: the history, the behaviour, understanding the person, the care giver and the care environment.

Case study: vocally disruptive behaviour
- What is vocally disruptive behaviour (VDB) and introduction to a case study.

Explain the use and value of preferred assessment tools

Outline the assessment process and questions you could use for the person in the case study, focusing particularly on their disruptive vocalisation behaviour

Learning with DTA

A Certificate of completion is awarded on successful completion of a DTA course or module. You may use this certificate toward your Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Access your Certificates in your Dashboard.
